Cameras provided by Design Team
Community invited to take pictures for Design Team visit
In an effort to identify visual qualities of the Milan community, the Minnesota Design Team has provided six disposable cameras to be used over the next few weeks. There are two sets of three cameras each for folks to photograph:
1. What is best about the community,
2. What represents the least favorite image of the community, and
3. What are the opportunities for creating unique places in the community.
The cameras are available to be checked out from both the library and the city hall. The organizers ask that no individual photograph more than three images in any single category, so that the group can get as wide a collection of community input as possible. Return the camera (s) to the library or city hall relatively quickly so they can be kept in circulation. Each of the cameras is labeled with one of the three categories, so make sure you are using the right camera for the place you select!
Anyone who values Milan and is committed to participating in the design team process is invited to share in this exercise. It is not a problem if more than one person photographs the same place, so let’s keep the decisions a secret until revealed by the design team during the March 29 through 31 visit.
