Celebrate Milan's 125th Anniversary!

Mark July 2, 3 and 4, 2004, on your calendar for the Celebration of the 125th Anniversary of the establishment of Milan as a community! If you live in Milan, ever lived in Milan, visited Milan, or wished you had lived in Milan, you are invited and welcome to celebrate the 125th with us! Included in the weekend celebration will be individual class reunions, history displays, a parade, an old-fashioned baseball game, old-fashioned games for the kids, a musical program, karaoke, dance and an opportunity for worship with a Norwegian flair! (See schedule of events) A large tent will be set up near Milan’s Main Street to accommodate many of the weekend’s activities. Please pass the word to any interested Milan friends and acquaintances.

To make arrangements for food, seating, etc., we need advance registrations. This registration pays for the designated meal, program, tent  and other expenses incurred in the planning for the celebration. Please return the registrations as soon as possible for the Milan 125th Celebration. The final date for registrations will be June 1, 2004. (A refund will be available until June 10, 2004.) There will be a limited number of meal tickets available at the registration area during the weekend.

On July 2 and 3, your meal tickets, schedule of events, map of the area and other information can be picked up at registration headquarters in the Senior Citizen building on Main Street. Plan to meet your friends at the Hospitality area under the Celebration tent. Registration for the 5K Walk/Run will take place at the tent from 7:30 to 8:00 am Saturday morning.

To commemorate this event, a T-shirt, designed by Nancy Schneck and Jane Link, will feature gnomes and names! There will be about 700 family names on the shirt -- yours is bound to be there! Click here to view the T-shirt or you may order one or more, sight unseen, with your registration. They come in sizes Small to X-Large ($10.00 each), 2X & 3X ($12.00 each). Please indicate sizes and include $3.00 postage for each shirt. These will be available at the celebration as well.
